Overview:
The theme I was given for these pieces was “Willy Wonka Steampunk”. I was provided rough sketches from the designer along with a description of the desired function of each piece. Other than that I had total creative license to use whatever materials and methods I deemed fit. I also needed to design these on a budget so I resourced appropriate materials from local thrift stores and eBay. I incorporated and modified parts from lamps & ceiling fans, used strainers, pails, shelf brackets, grill utensils, stained glass and metal rods. LED light strips were purchased online. I then painted the pieces to give them an antique but not damaged finish. Plaster was used to form the texture on the lamps. There are two pieces in the set. Three sets were fabricated and delivered.
Note: Cedar Fair was not the client of Studio Cisco. Cedar Fair was the client of the design agency whom contracted me to fabricate these.
